About Us
The story, the people and the work behind World Refugee Support.
A non-profit standing with refugees across eight countries.
World Refugee Support works with refugee and displaced families across the world. When people are forced from their homes by war, persecution or disaster, we help them find shelter, food, clean water, medical care, legal aid and a way to earn a living again.
We go where the need is greatest, and we stay. Relief is only the start. We keep working with families through the long job of rebuilding, from the first emergency to the day life feels steady again.
Our Vision
A world where no family that has lost everything has to face it alone.

Active FundraisersMost of this work never reaches the news. It is quiet and practical: a food kit carried across a border, a month's rent paid for a family with nowhere to go, a child kept warm through winter. Here is some of what we have done so far.
When war or disaster hits, we move fast with food, water, tents and clothing. In Gaza that has meant aid trucks across the border, thousands of litres of water and hot meals during the worst of the fighting.
Tents for families with nowhere to sleep, and rent support for more than 250 displaced Palestinian families now living in Egypt.
Monthly food kits, clothing and everyday essentials, from flour and vegetables to sanitary pads and warm clothes for children.
Monthly financial support so displaced families can cover rent, food and medicine while they find their feet, reaching families in Egypt and Uzbekistan.
Treatment and medical support for civilians injured in war, and steady care for the sick among displaced families.
Standing with the most vulnerable, including refugee women in Bangladesh at risk of being forced into exploitation.
Founder

Dr. Hashim Rifai founded World Refugee Support to stand with families who have lost their homes to war and disaster. For years he has worked alongside displaced people, from Palestinian families sheltering in Egypt to Rohingya refugees in South Asia, getting food, shelter and medical care to people the world often forgets.
World Refugee Support is one of three non-profits he founded, alongside You & Me Foundation and Edutrainers for Refugees. They carry the same simple idea into different parts of the world: when a family is in trouble, someone has to show up. His work now reaches eight countries.
The work is deliberately practical. Aid trucks and tents into Gaza. Rent and monthly support for war-torn families in Egypt. Blankets and food for Rohingya refugees in Nepal. Behind it sits a long career in education, with doctorates in Education and Linguistics and years spent training teachers and leading colleges in India. That grounding shapes how he works: listen closely, stay long after the headlines move on, and measure the work one family at a time.
